Community policing

Community policing

Article 51 A of the Indian constitution was added in the constitution to allot some fundamental duties to the citizens of India….. when about two decades of constitutional successes passed in our country, this article was added by our legislatures just after a deep thought that the citizens of our country, after having a knowledge of their rights against the governmental activities should have some duties toward the country also.

These are very basic duties on the part of the citizen which they should perform in order to regulate the society, these duties include respecting the national Flag, the ideals and principles of the Indian constitution ,save environment, defend country from any aggression ,protect integrity of country, preserve heritage, and so on etc. .but there were no systematized system to implement these duties ,means no one can be forced by any law in India to un willfully follow these duties.

So the concept of community policing got its existence….this concept makes every person a police men towards the society, means that we should have a habit to stop doing people which is against there Fundamental duties towards the constitution..

For example: One day I saw a man picking up flowers from newly made road divider in my city, specially done for beautification and attracting tourist as the primary aim, and I shouted at him to not to do that, the person said sorry and promised to not do it again..

The fear of society is the biggest fear in one’s mind and this fear can be used by the intellects of the society to modify it….

Community policing should be done by every person of the society to make it a better place for living…..
